Anyone else feel like they could use some nature therapy right about now? 🌳🌳

Whenever I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I can spiral. When I feel like I’m spiraling it really helps me to get outside. It protects my peace and allows me to feel grounded again.

It turned out pretty well for me

While Dylan may have been the main engineer on our build, I put in the work. I designed our water system, built the roof deck, and put in hours of build time.

Now, I feel perfectly capable to change a tire on my own, thank you very much.

WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY 🚐:

This Wednesday, I’m dedicating my WWWW to the people and places that I love in Los Angeles. Dylan and I have had the pleasure of spending a lot of time in LA over the past few years in the van.

We’ve gone on some of the prettiest hikes in the area, met incredible people, and tried delicious food. But now, so many of those people and places have been severely impacted by the fires. It feels hard to watch it all happen from far away.

So, again I’ve collected some updated ways to help the people in LA below:

GIVE BACK:
    •    Join LAIT911’s disaster response and recovery team, including collecting donations and assisting with delivery
    •    Foster a dog or cat from a family displaced by the fires. Email the Pasadena Humane Society or  check out Los Angeles Animal Services.

VOLUNTEER:
    •    Volunteer Collective has an updated list of where you can volunteer your time in LA.
    •    Canine Rescue Club needs volunteers to offer temporary foster care for dogs displaced by the fires.
    •    The LA Regional Food Bank is accepting food donations and volunteers or work at Project Angel Food for delivery and Kitchen needs. You can contact volunteers@angelfood.org.
    •    Our Big Kitchen LA (OBKLA) needs volunteers to make hot meals for firefighters and emergency personnel. You can email info@obkla.org.
    •    Local schools, YMCAs and community centers have partnered with the American Red Cross to collect donations for those affected by the wildfires.

DONATE:

    •    California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund
    •    American Red Cross
    •    Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation
    •    GoFundMe has set up a dedicated page where you can donate to SoCal fire victims, first responders.

DONATE ITEMS:
    •    The YMCA, It’s Bigger Than US, and other organizations are collecting donations for items needed right now, which include: non-perishable foods, air mattresses, bedding, clothing, personal hygiene products, canned goods, baby food, dog food, and water.
