Do you want to visit the longest slot canyon in the world?

Buckskin Gulch passes through 16 miles of slot canyons in Arizona near Page and Kanab, Utah.

🎟️ To visit this slot canyon you’ll need free permits that you can get on arrival

🌧️ Slot canyons can flood when there are rains, so check the forecast before you go!

⛺️ You can backpack the 54 mile route from Buckskin Gulch to Paria Canyon. You must stay at previously used sites

🌿 Always remember to leave no trace, pick up after yourself, and don’t scratch into the walls!

WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️:

I’ve thought about how I want to continue this series and I want to take some Wednesdays to feature some of my favorite places. Some weeks this may be places that we went in the past week, sometimes this will be areas we loved in the van, and occasionally it will be destinations we visited way before our time in the van.

So, today I want to focus on Torres del Paine National Park.

My parents, Dylan and me had the pleasure of visiting this magical area right before COVID hit in January of 2020. I feel so lucky that we got to explore this incredible landscape before the world shut down.
 We spent our days doing long hikes into the jagged mountains visiting glaciers, waterfalls, and the famous granite towers. Then, at night we relaxed in our hotel with delicious meals and dips in hot tubs.

It was one of my favorite trips to this day and an area of the world that I want to return. Next time, Dylan and I will hopefully, complete the entire “W” or “O treks”.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I gotta say my younger self would probably look at me now in awe.

As a kid, I was super quiet, scared of change, and had few friends.

Now, I can’t stop talking more of the time, crave change & adventures, and have so many friends that I feel blessed.

I think my younger self would be proud.
