I’ve got a lot of new faces here, so I figured it was time for a little re-introduction.

First and foremost, Where We Went Wednesday (WWWW) is my weekly series where I used to share where we had traveled in the past week in the van. Now, I dedicate this week to various places we’ve been and things we’ve seen.

This week, I wanted to share a little bit about me, my journey, and what I’m up to now. I hope this helps you get to know me just a little bit better.

Anyone else?

I’m just in completely awe every time I get to explore somewhere new out in nature. The world is truly so beautiful and we are so blessed to experience it.

If you’ve been here for a while, you know that Dylan and I traveled to all 48 states and the National Parks in those states in just one year. We spent that year making the best memories and enjoying the gorgeous public lands.

We also made sure to capture our handshake in most of the places that we went! Clearly the National Parks mean a lot to us, so let’s continue to keep fighting for them. Make sure to leave no trace when you visit and be a responsible park visitor.

How will we make sure it’s protected?

Can you believe this was all taken in one National Park? Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska is a magical place where glaciers and wildlife abound. But, they’re very much at risk with the changing climate.

There have been many recent events in the government that will affect our public lands including the firing of workers, the demand for more logging, and the call to get rid of some sites.

Also, yesterday Trump called for the dismantling of the Department of Education. As a previous public school teacher, I fear for the future and what our children will miss out on.

This Saturday, March 22nd there’s a protest for our public lands. Head to your closest National Park site to protest and demand they re-hire park and public land workers!

Remember, you can still call your representatives and make noise!
