I turn 32 tomorrow 🌤️

As many of you know, this past year has been an emotional roller coaster and this birthday comes with a lot of mixed feelings.

We moved out of the van and settled into apartment life, which was a large bittersweet change. It took a lot of getting used to and honestly, I still miss our life in the van.

At the same time, I got pregnant. That baby was due today on my birthday. But, sadly I lost it and endured months of procedures.

Of course, the US has also felt like a tough place to be. With this administration doing horrifying things every other day

I share a birthday with a certain someone throwing a parade for himself in Washington DC. So, I’m leaving the area to celebrate away from that whole affair and I will not be online.

Despite that all, there were many beautiful moments this year. I explored new places and was constantly reminded that I have a wonderful support system.

So, this birthday I hope to turn the page and start a wonderful new adventure. To better days ahead.

Who’s with me?

This weekend is my birthday and when people ask me how I’m celebrating, I can think of nothing better than spending it out in nature.

My perfect day would include going on a great hike, taking a dip in a body of water, getting ice cream, and watching the sunset.

How is everyone feeling?

I posted this audio before, but it applies again now. Watching what’s happening the past week in LA has left me heartbroken.

I’ve had a few people in my DMs lately say “stick to the parks” or “stick to travel.”

But, the crazy thing is travel and nature are political. Protecting our parks and the people in the US is important to me.

Remember where you are born is simply luck. Those of us who were born in the US have many privileges that others do not.

The people who want to live here are seeking better lives for their families. Most of them are hard working individuals that give back to their communities.

We went to Alaska three summers ago now and I can’t believe it’s been that long! We drove the Alaskan Highway up to the Last Frontier

It was an experience I’ll always remember. Chasing the midnight sun, picking fresh blueberries, and spotting moose almost daily

Alaska is magical. Is it on your bucket list?
