#ad A U.S. District Court recently allowed @ConocoPhillips to move forward with winter oil and gas exploration in the Western Arctic Reserve in Alaska

This decision came just days after Doyon Drilling Rig 26 collapsed and spilled diesel and fuel, putting the community, ecosystem, water, and wildlife at risk.

This accident occurred near Nuiqsut, an Indigenous community already surrounded by industrial development that’s directly in harm’s way.

Two Alaska Native-led organizations, Grandmothers Growing Goodness and Sovereign Iñupiat for a Living Arctic, sent a formal letter requesting an independent investigation.

ConocoPhillips was already given the green light to continue exploration before the cause of the accident is determined. This is a public safety and environmental concern!

This is also taking place against the backdrop of the Trump administration announcing a lease sale on March 18th for approximately 5.5 million acres of public land in the Western Arctic, some of which even overlap with an incredibly sensitive area for wildlife and subsistence around Teshekpuk Lake.

Rushed development is not just an environmental risk; it is a public safety and economic risk that leaves local communities to bear the consequences

So please help spread the word by tagging @ConocoPhillips and tagging #StoptheArcticSellOff and #ProtecttheArctic
WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️: Our last week in the WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️:

Our last week in the PNW… for now!

We spent the last week in Seattle taking care of a bulldog. The week seriously flew by so quickly!

We’ve been to Seattle so many times now at this point that it just feels like we are right back in the swing of things. Dylan and I had social plans pretty much every single day.

We spent the week debating where to move, taking walks with the dog, exploring neighborhoods, and seeing friends.

Oh, and I can’t forget running into Alex Carpenter, a member of the US Women’s Hockey Team. I even got to hold her gold medal!

I’ll tell you more about our considerations about moving to Seattle later this week.

Have you been yet?

Anyone else excited for warmer days? I cannot wa Anyone else excited for warmer days?

I cannot wait for the start of spring and the as spring moves into summer. We have a ton of exciting plans to get off the grid during that time.

Time spent outdoors is truly when I feel most at peace and can finally turn off the noise of everything else.

7 pm sunsets are coming soon! Who’s excited?!

Should we move to Bellingham? Honestly, Bellingha Should we move to Bellingham?

Honestly, Bellingham is such a cute city and if you haven’t been yet you need to! This town is surrounded by nature, so you wouldn’t even need to leave.

We loved the small town feel and how everyone was really friendly to us while we were there.

We could easily see ourselves living here or spending a lot of time here, if we don’t end up there.

Pros:
- Close to Canada
- Access to Nature A++
- Community Vibes
- Walkable downtown with fun coffee shops, food, and bookstore

Cons:
- Rentals are expensive
- Far from the airport
- Less medical care access

So what do you think should we move here?

Big Bend Needs Your Help 🌵‼️ Customs and Border C Big Bend Needs Your Help 🌵‼️

Customs and Border Control plan on constructing a miles long border wall through Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park

This area has been preserved for wildlife and hasn’t been a concern for years because it’s a very steep landscape

The proposed wall would have devastating impacts including:
- Breaking up one of the largest desert ecosystems in North America
- Cutting wildlife corridors and fragmenting them
- Removing access to public land like the hot springs, hoodoos trails and miles of the Rio Grande
- Marring the landscape with the construction

They have already started making plans for construction to start, so it’s urgent that we speak up now!

Call your congress people!

WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️: As most of you know, WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️:

As most of you know, we are out in the PNW exploring places to find our next home!

This past week we were in Bellingham, taking care of the sweetest dog and honestly we LOVED it!

Bellingham is truly such a nice are and nature surrounds it on all sides. It’s definitely quieter than Seattle and Portland but it’s more community oriented.

I’ll tell you more about our thoughts on Bellingham later this week.

Anyone else agree? I’ve been seeing this audio a Anyone else agree?

I’ve been seeing this audio around and it just resonated with me.

Dylan and I grew up in a bubble where everyone’s expected to go to college and the go straight into a nice corporate role.

We both did that for a few years and then we decided that wasn’t the life for us and we moved into a van. Everyone was actually very supportive of us, but it was definitely different than the usual lifestyle.

It changed our life and molded us into who we are today.

Now, we are making another change and moving away from our loved ones to follow our hearts.

What’s something you have done or want to do that isn’t what people expected?

Should we move to Portland? This past week we sp Should we move to Portland?

This past week we spent exploring the neighborhoods and learning what we like and don’t. Here’s a summary:

Pros:
- We love that Portland has so much personality
- It has tons of parks and green space
- Close to gorgeous nature like the Columbia River Gorge
- More affordable than Washington areas
- would most likely be able to get a bigger place

Cons:
- Less events coming through
- Airport isn’t as well connected
- Further from the National Parks

So what do you think?

WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️: As many of you saw in WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY ✈️:

As many of you saw in my reel last week, Dylan and I are moving other the Pacific Northwest. The catch is that we don’t know exactly where we want to be.

So, we spent this past week staying in Portland, Oregon and getting to know it better.

We went to various neighborhoods that we thought we may want to live in, tried out a bunch of different restaurants, and even got to spend some time outside with @skyestory and @theadventurearnolds !

I’ll give you my synopsis on our thoughts about Portland soon. But in the meantime, do you think we should move here?

⚠️ The Trump Administration just made it a lot har ⚠️ The Trump Administration just made it a lot harder to fight climate change

Last week, they got rid of the 2009 “endangerment finding,” which stated that greenhouse gases were a threat to public health.

Now, the government will not be able to regulate emissions, causing everlasting detrimental impacts.

Right now, you can join the Conservation Action Network through @appalachianmountainclub who continues to share ways to help.

Otherwise, keep speaking up and letting your voice be heard!

WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY 🚐: This WWWW is dedicated WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY 🚐:

This WWWW is dedicated to Minnesota. This was my 50th state that I visited and if you’ve ever been, then you know it’s special.

Minnesota has been in the news a lot lately, and the people there have been such an inspiration.

Now, one of the most beautiful areas in the state, the Boundary Waters is at risk. Congress is trying to lift a mining ban in this area. It would absolutely devastate it!

The vote could happen in the Senate at any minute. Please call and email your Senators and save the Boundary Waters!

Have you called them yet?
the only thing more powerful than hate is LOVE W the only thing more powerful than hate is LOVE

Watching Bad Bunny’s performance last night reminded me how joy is so important right now. We need these moments to lift us up.

They eat to keep bringing us down. But, we still need those moments of joy to keep us motivated.

Don get me wrong protesting and taking action are still so important, but without joy we won’t have the energy to keep fighting.

So, today let’s try and feel some joy and remember we are stronger together and with love 💕💕

We are moving! Lots of life updates coming this We are moving!

Lots of life updates coming this week. While we’ve been having a hard time lately, we are focusing on the positives and exciting changes coming!

Dylan and I will be house sitting in Bellingham, Portland, and Seattle. So give us all of your recommendations for neighborhoods, restaurants, and cafes!

This trip is mostly about focusing on figuring out where to live, so we won’t be doing as much outdoors exploring.

But I’m excited! Who’s ready for the big change?

This past week has been really rough 💔 Unfortunat This past week has been really rough 💔

Unfortunately, after finding out I was pregnant over New Years, we suffered another pregnancy loss. As many of you know I had a miscarriage last year that lasted 9 months. So, it’s been a really difficult journey and we were hopeful we were on the other side of things.

If you have experienced pregnancy loss, then you know our pain. We are trying to remain positive and we know that it will be our time eventually. But for now, we are going to try and focus on the positives.

If you are going through something similar, I’m always willing to talk about it 💕💕

I miss the times before AI Lately, it feels like I miss the times before AI

Lately, it feels like AI is taking over everything and it’s making me a bit sick to my stomach.

AI is having massive detrimental impacts on the planet with huge data centers that take up tons of water and energy.

I’m not sure there will be a future without AI completely, but I know that if we don’t figure out better solutions for the earth then we will all suffer.

Anyone else really over AI?

Being online lately has felt so heavy. I know we Being online lately has felt so heavy.

I know we are all so tired. We go from seeing a video of someone getting m**dered to seeing a video of someone dancing to a trending song. Our brains simply weren’t wired for this.

That being said, the vote on ICE funding is happening any day now, so please keep calling your senators and your congress people.

And once you’ve sent a phone call or email, go do something for yourself. Take care of yourself, because we all need it these days. Take a moment to call a friend, go on a walk (if you can), or simply get offline.

Sending you all lots of love these days
